Tuula Lappalainen

Tuula Lappalainen was born in Jyväskylä, but spent her youth in Helsinki and, since the late 1960s, has lived abroad—first in Switzerland and later in Spain. She is a painter of summer-filled blooming poppy fields, mirror-like lake landscapes, and roaring waves, with works charged with powerful sensations and emotions.
